A RESOLUTION
Designating June 2, 2024, as "Jason Kelce Day" in Pennsylvania
and honoring Jason Kelce for his numerous contributions on
and off the football field.
WHEREAS, Jason Kelce was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles
in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kelce turned that opportunity into a storied,
13-year career all with the Eagles; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Kelce has received
numerous honors and awards, including the culminating honor of
Super Bowl champion in the 2017 season; and
WHEREAS, In addition to showing incredible dedication to the
Philadelphia Eagles, Mr. Kelce also has a commendable track
record of caring for this Commonwealth and the City of
Philadelphia in his off-field actions; and
WHEREAS, In 2022, Mr. Kelce founded the (Be)Philly
Foundation; and
WHEREAS, The foundation's mission is to empower students with

the tools, confidence and courage they need to build a brighter
future for themselves and for us all; and
WHEREAS, On March 4, 2024, Mr. Kelce announced his retirement
from football; and
WHEREAS, Upon his retirement announcement, countless
Philadelphians and Pennsylvanians paid tribute to Mr. Kelce for
his athletic achievement and embrace of his community; and
WHEREAS, During his playing career, Mr. Kelce wore the number
62; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kelce has contributed greatly to this
Commonwealth and Philadelphia and deserves recognition;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate June 2,
2024, as "Jason Kelce Day" in Pennsylvania; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor Jason Kelce
for his community service and philanthropy, which has bettered
the lives of countless Pennsylvanians; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives encourage
Pennsylvanians of all ages to look to Jason Kelce as an example
and role model for his leadership, steadfastness, motivation and
sportsmanship.
