A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing the week of September 24 through 30, 2007, as
2 "Health, Wealth and Wellness Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, In keeping with the goals of the National
4 Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), "Health,
5 Wealth and Wellness Week" highlights available community
6 resources, including on-site assistance, training, interviewing,
7 activities and community-business networking, to promote health,
8 wealth and wellness status and opportunities; and
9 WHEREAS, NAHSE educates, trains and mentors African-American
10 health care professionals who aspire to become health services
11 executives; and
12 WHEREAS, NAHSE's advocacy includes empowering underserved,
13 underprivileged populations; and
14 WHEREAS, Through education, information and community
15 participation, "Health, Wealth and Wellness Week" underscores
1 the commitment of individuals and organizations in our
2 communities to enhance the quality, access and availability of
3 health care services; and
4 WHEREAS, "Health, Wealth and Wellness Week" further increases
5 the visibility of participating businesses, vendors,
6 organizations and faith-based entities; therefore be it
7 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
8 week of September 24 through 30, 2007, as "Health, Wealth and
9 Wellness Week" in Pennsylvania; and be it further
10 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
11 NAHSE Delaware Valley Chapter President Jamahal C. Boyd, Sr., at
12 Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, 5501 Old York Road,
13 Philadelphia PA 19141.
