AN ACT 1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for disabled 3 veterans' real estate tax exemption. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. The heading of section 8902 of Title 51 of the 7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is 8 amended by adding a subsection to read: 9 § 8902. [Exemption] Exemptions. 10 * * * 11 (c) Special exemption.--Any citizen or resident of this 12 Commonwealth shall be exempt from the payment of all real estate 13 taxes levied upon any building, including the land upon which it 14 stands, occupied by that person as a principal dwelling, if the 15 person is an unmarried surviving spouse of a person who served 16 in the military or naval forces of the United States, or a
1 women's organization officially connected with the military or 2 naval forces of the United States, who was killed in action or 3 died as a result of wounds incurred during a period of war or 4 armed conflict or as a result of hostile fire or terrorist 5 attack during peacetime, as determined by the department. 6 Section 2.
