                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
     2     act relating to the public school system, including certain
     3     provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
     4     schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
     5     laws relating thereto," further providing for annual budget,
     6     additional or increased appropriations and transfer of funds.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 687 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
    10  No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by
    11  adding a subsection to read:
    12     Section 687.  Annual Budget; Additional or Increased
    13  Appropriations; Transfer of Funds.--* * *
    14     (j)  Notwithstanding any other provisions of this act, when


     1  the annual State budget passes after June 15 of any fiscal year,
     2  the board of school directors of each school district shall
     3  receive a thirty (30) day budget extension from the date of
     4  passage of the annual State budget in order to reflect any
     5  changes in State allocations made in the annual State budget.
     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
