                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Extending the time period for a report by a select committee on
     2     funding public education.

     3     WHEREAS, On June 5, 2001, the House of Representatives
     4  adopted House Resolution No. 42, Printer's No. 618, which
     5  established a select committee of the House of Representatives
     6  to study funding for public education and to report to the House
     7  of Representatives on its study by September 15, 2002; and
     8     WHEREAS, On October 2, 2001, the House of Representatives
     9  adopted House Resolution No. 315, Printer's No. 2594, which
    10  extended the due date for the report by the select committee
    11  until May 31, 2002; and
    12     WHEREAS, More time is needed for the select committee to
    13  properly complete the report; therefore be it
    14     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives extend until
    15  November 30, 2002, the due date for the report by the select
    16  committee under House Resolution No. 42, Printer's No. 618; and
    17  be it further

     1     RESOLVED, That the members currently serving on the select
     2  committee continue to serve in that capacity.
