AN ACT
1 Authorizing and directing the Department of Transportation, with
2 the approval of the Governor, to convey to Scranton School
3 District two parcels of land situated in the City of
4 Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The Department of Transportation, with the
8 approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized and directed, on
9 behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to grant and convey
10 to Scranton School District for 50% of the fair market value as
11 determined by an independent appraisal approved by the
12 Department of Transportation, the following parcels of land
13 situated in the City of Scranton, Lackawanna County,
14 Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows:
15 Parcel No. 1
16 All that parcel of land situate in the City of Scranton,
17 County of Lackawanna and State of Pennsylvania, bounded and
18 described as follows:
19 Beginning at a point located 177.75 feet right perpendicular
1 from SR 3027 baseline station 58+53.76; thence North 9 degrees
2 35 minutes 28 seconds West 314.14 feet; thence North 8 degrees
3 34 minutes 38 seconds West 551.17 feet; thence North 9 degrees
4 39 minutes 21 seconds West 526.46 feet; thence North 65 degrees

20 Section 2. The deed of conveyance shall contain a
21 reversionary clause by which any of the land conveyed shall
22 revert to the Commonwealth if it shall no longer be used for
23 public school purposes, shall be approved as provided by law and
24 shall be executed by the Secretary of Transportation in the name
25 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
26 Section 3. Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
27 shall be borne by the grantee.
28 Section 4. Moneys received from the conveyance shall be
29 deposited in the Motor License Fund.
30 Section 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
