AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for special library registration plates.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
6 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
7 § 1361. Library plates.
8 The department, in consultation with the Department of
9 Education and representatives from the district library centers'
10 advisory councils, shall design a special library registration
11 plate. Upon application of any person, accompanied by a fee of
12 $35 which shall be in addition to the annual registration fee,
13 the department shall issue the plate for a passenger car or
14 other vehicle with a registered gross weight of not more than
15 9,000 pounds. The library which solicited the purchase of the
16 library registration plate shall receive $15 of each additional
1 fee for this plate.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
