AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for general lighting
3 requirements.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4303 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 4303. General lighting requirements.

10 (h) Use of fog lights.--Fog lights on a vehicle may not be
11 used when an oncoming vehicle approaches within 500 feet or when
12 a vehicle approaches within 200 feet to the rear unless:
13 (1) there are unfavorable atmospheric conditions such as
14 rain, snow, sleet, hail, fog, smoke or smog; or
15 (2) vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible
16 for a distance of 1,000 feet.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
