AN ACT
1 Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for organization of the
3 Pennsylvania Game Commission.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 301(c) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 301. Organization of commission.

10 (c) Term of office and compensation.--
11 (1) [The members] A member of the commission shall hold
12 office for not more than two terms of [eight] four years
13 each, subject to Senate confirmation pursuant to law for each
14 term, and may continue to hold office for a period of time
15 not to exceed [six] 12 months or until a successor is <--
1 appointed and qualified, whichever occurs first. Thereafter,
2 the person shall be ineligible to hold that office.
3 (2) A member of the commission appointed to fill a
4 vacancy for a period of [four] two years or less may be
5 eligible for appointment to a full [eight-year] four-year
6 term. [A member of the commission who serves a full eight-
7 year term or fills a vacancy for a period of more than four
8 years shall not be eligible for reappointment to the
9 commission until a period of eight years expires.]
10 (3) Commissioners shall receive no compensation for
11 their services, but may be reimbursed for travel expenses.

13 Section 2. The amendment of 34 Pa.C.S. § 301(c) shall apply
14 to members of the commission appointed on or after the effective
15 date of this section.
16 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
