AN ACT
1 Repealing the act of December 13, 1955 (P.L.829, No.240),
2 entitled "An act authorizing the commitment to the Department
3 of Public Welfare in any city of the first class persons
4 convicted of crimes and sentences by courts situate within
5 such city to a city or county penal institution, where such
6 Department has established a correctional, diagnostic and
7 classification service, and authorizing the transfer of
8 prisoners between such institutions by the Department."
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. The act of December 13, 1955 (P.L.829, No.240),
12 entitled "An act authorizing the commitment to the Department of
13 Public Welfare in any city of the first class persons convicted
14 of crimes and sentences by courts situate within such city to a
15 city or county penal institution, where such Department has
16 established a correctional, diagnostic and classification
17 service, and authorizing the transfer of prisoners between such
18 institutions by the Department," is repealed.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
