AN ACT 1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, changing the time limitations for 3 prosecution of certain offenses. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Subsections (a) and (b) of section 108 of Title 7 18, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the 8 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, added December 6, 1972 9 (P.L.1482, No.334) and amended March 26, 1974 (No.46), are 10 amended to read: 11 § 108. Time limitations. 12 (a) Murder.--A prosecution for murder of the first degree, 13 of the second degree, [or] of the third degree or voluntary 14 manslaughter may be commenced at any time. 15 (b) Other offenses.--Except as otherwise provided in this 16 section, prosecutions for other offenses are subject to the 17 following periods of limitation: 18 (1) A prosecution for any of the following offenses
1 under this code must be commenced within five years after it 2 is committed: 3 Section 2901 (relating to kidnapping) 4 Section 3121 (relating to rape) 5 Section 3123 (relating to involuntary deviate 6 sexual intercourse) 7 Section 3301 (relating to arson and related offenses) 8 Section 3502 (relating to burglary) 9 Section 3701 (relating to robbery) 10 Section 4101 (relating to forgery) 11 Section 4902 (relating to perjury) 12 (2) A prosecution for any other offense under this code 13 must be commenced within two years after it is committed. 14 * * * 15 Section 2.
