AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for notice of change of name or
3 address.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1515 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1515. Notice of change of name or address.
9 (A) DRIVER'S LICENSE.--Whenever any person after applying <--
10 for or receiving a driver's license or department-issued <--
11 identification card moves from the address named in the
12 application or in the driver's license or identification card <--
13 issued or when the name of a licensee or cardholder is changed <--
14 such person shall, within 15 days thereafter, notify the
15 department in writing of the old and new addresses or of such
16 former and new names and of the number of any license or <--
17 identification card then held by the person.
1 (B) IDENTIFICATION CARD.--WHENEVER ANY PERSON AFTER APPLYING <--
2 FOR OR RECEIVING A DEPARTMENT-ISSUED IDENTIFICATION CARD MOVES
3 FROM THE ADDRESS NAMED IN THE APPLICATION OR IDENTIFICATION CARD
4 ISSUED OR WHEN THE NAME OF A CARDHOLDER IS CHANGED SUCH PERSON
5 SHALL, WITHIN 30 DAYS THEREAFTER, NOTIFY THE DEPARTMENT IN
6 WRITING OF THE OLD AND NEW ADDRESSES OR OF SUCH FORMER AND NEW
7 NAMES AND OF THE NUMBER OF ANY IDENTIFICATION CARD THEN HELD BY
8 THE PERSON.
9 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
