AN ACT

Designating the bridge carrying State Route 946 over the Lehigh

2

River in the Borough of Walnutport, Northampton County, as

3

the Ted S. Miller Memorial Bridge.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Ted S. Miller Memorial Bridge.

(a)  Declaration of policy.--The General Assembly finds and

8

declares as follows:

(1)  Ted S. Miller was the owner and operator of the

10

Birch Creek Fishery and Deer Farm in Walnutport, Northampton

11

County.

(2)  He was a founding member and chairman of the board

13

of the Lehigh River Stocking Association.

14

(3)  He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers

15

Association and the Deer Farmers Association.

16

(4)  He died at the age of 46 on June 3, 2008.

(b)  Designation.--The bridge carrying State Route 946 over

the Lehigh River in the Borough of Walnutport, Northampton

3

County, is designated and shall be known as the Ted S. Miller

4

Memorial Bridge.

(c)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

6

maintain signs at each end of the bridge which shall display the

7

name of the bridge designated in subsection (b).

Section 2.  Effective date.

9

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
