AN ACT 1 Amending the act of December 15, 1959 (P.L.1779, No.673), 2 entitled, as amended, "An act relating to fish, frogs, 3 tadpoles and turtles; and amending, revising, consolidating 4 and changing the law relating to fish in the inland waters 5 and the boundary lakes and boundary rivers of the 6 Commonwealth," changing the fees for resident fishing 7 licenses, nonresident fishing licenses, tourist licenses, 8 providing for reduced license fees for persons receiving 9 social security disability payments. 10 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 11 hereby enacts as follows: 12 Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 220, act of December 13 15, 1959 (P.L.1779, No.673), known as "The Fish Law of 1959," 14 amended July 24, 1973 (P.L.196, No.47), is amended to read: 15 Section 220. Resident Fishing License; Fees.--(a) For the 16 purposes of this article, every person sixteen years of age and 17 upward, upon application to any issuing agent within the 18 Commonwealth, or to the Commission, and upon the establishment 19 of his identity and age to the satisfaction of the issuing agent 20 or the Commission by producing a bank book, letters, lodge 21 cards, police cards, a motor vehicle operator's permit or some 22 other positive means of identification and age, that he has been
1 a bona fide resident of this Commonwealth for a period of sixty 2 days next preceding his application and was born in the United 3 States, and in the case of naturalized foreign-born residents, 4 the production of such applicant's naturalization papers, shall, 5 upon the payment to the issuing agent or the Commission of a 6 license fee of seven dollars fifty cents ($7.50) except as 7 hereinafter provided for persons sixty-five years of age and 8 over for the use of the Commonwealth, and in the event that the 9 license is issued by an issuing agent, a fee of twenty-five 10 cents (25¢) for the use of the issuing agent, be entitled to the 11 license herein referred to as a "resident fishing license." 12 Residents with the above qualifications, who are sixty-five or 13 more years of age or persons who are receiving social security 14 disability payments at the time of application, shall be 15 entitled to a "resident fishing license" upon payment to said 16 agent or the Commission of a license fee of two dollars ($2.00) 17 for the use of the Commonwealth, and in the event that the 18 license is issued by an issuing agent, a fee of twenty-five 19 cents (25¢) for the use of the issuing agent. The license in 20 such cases shall, in addition to the other information required, 21 give the date of birth of the applicant. 22 * * * 23 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
