| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for deputy Game Commission |
3 | officers. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 304 of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read: |
8 | § 304. Deputy Game Commission officers. |
9 | * * * |
10 | (a.1) Employment preference.--A deputy Game Commission |
11 | officer who has completed at least three years of active service |
12 | prior to the taking of the civil service examination for Game |
13 | Commission officer or Game Commission officer trainee shall be |
14 | eligible for the following preference applied to the civil |
15 | service examination score and applicant selection process: |
16 | (1) A deputy Game Commission officer who passes the |
17 | civil service examination for Game Commission officer or Game |
18 | Commission officer trainee shall have ten points added to the |

1 | officer's final score. |
2 | (2) A deputy Game Commission officer who is among the |
3 | top three available candidates on the certification list for |
4 | Game Commission officer or Game Commission officer trainee |
5 | shall have mandatory preference appointment over nonveteran |
6 | candidates. |
7 | (3) A deputy Game Commission officer who is on the civil |
8 | service list for the position of Game Commission officer or |
9 | Game Commission officer trainee may be appointed regardless |
10 | of the officer's rank on the list. |

12 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
