AN ACT
1 Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing, in ethical
3 standards and financial disclosure, for restricted
4 activities.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
8 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 1103. Restricted activities.

11 (k) Employment restrictions.--
12 (1) This subsection applies to all of the following:
13 (i) An executive-level State employee.
14 (ii) A member elected to:
15 (A) the Senate; or
16 (B) the House of Representatives.
17 (2) An individual subject to this subsection may not,
18 for one year after leaving employment or office, receive an
1 appointment by the Governor which is subject to approval by
2 the Senate.
3 Section 2. The addition of 65 Pa.C.S. § 1103(k) applies to
4 appointments made on or after the effective date of this
5 section.
6 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
