AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for duty of driver in
3 construction and maintenance areas.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3326 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 3326. Duty of driver in construction and maintenance areas.

10 (c.1) Suspension of operating privilege.--Whenever a person
11 is convicted for a violation of section 3361 (relating to
12 driving vehicle at safe speed) or 3362 (relating to maximum
13 speed limits) and that offense occurred in a construction or
14 maintenance area manned by workers acting in their official
15 capacity, the court shall, in addition to any other penalty
16 imposed, order the operating privilege of the person suspended
17 for 30 days. A copy of the order shall be transmitted to the
1 department.
