                                     AN ACT

     1  Requiring certain establishments to train staff on the Heimlich
     2     maneuver and on cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Heimlich maneuver and CPR training for staff.
     6     The owner or operator of any restaurant, hotel or other
     7  establishment in this Commonwealth that serves food to customers
     8  for consumption on the premises of the restaurant, hotel or
     9  establishment shall provide training to employees of the
    10  restaurant, hotel or establishment to ensure that at least one
    11  employee on the premises during all hours of operation has been
    12  trained in the Heimlich maneuver and in CPR.
    13  Section 2.  Effective date.
    14     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
