                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the term of office for
     3     commission members.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 301(c) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 301.  Organization of commission.
     9     * * *
    10     (c)  Term of office and compensation.--The members of the
    11  commission shall hold office for terms of [eight] four years
    12  each and may continue to hold office [for a period of time not
    13  to exceed six months or] until a successor is appointed and
    14  qualified[, whichever occurs first. A member of the commission
    15  appointed to fill a vacancy for a period of four years or less
    16  may be eligible for appointment to a full eight-year term. A
    17  member of the commission who serves a full eight-year term or

     1  fills a vacancy for a period of more than four years shall not
     2  be eligible for reappointment to the commission until a period
     3  of eight years expires]. Commissioners shall receive no
     4  compensation for their services, but may be reimbursed for
     5  travel expenses.

     7     Section 2.  This act shall apply to all commissioners
     8  appointed on or after the effective date of this act.
     9     Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
