A RESOLUTION 1 Recognizing the week of July 23 through 28, 2001, as 2 "Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Week" and commending the 3 Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association. 4 WHEREAS, Landscapers and nurseries are an integral part of 5 the horticulture industry in this Commonwealth; and 6 WHEREAS, The citizens of this Commonwealth benefit directly 7 from the products and services provided by the landscape and 8 nursery industry; and 9 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association 10 has represented the landscape and nursery industry for more than 11 95 years; and 12 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association 13 annually sponsors the Penn Allied Nursery Trade Show, which 14 showcases premiere horticultural businesses and their products; 15 and 16 WHEREAS, The show is recognized as one of the largest 17 horticultural trade shows in the United States, with more than
1 10,000 attendees, 600 exhibiting companies and 1,300 exhibit 2 displays; therefore be it 3 RESOLVED, That the Senate recognize the week of July 23 4 through 28, 2001, as "Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Week" 5 and commend the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association 6 for its continued commitment to advancing the horticulture 7 industry by annually sponsoring the Penn Allied Nursery Trade 8 Show.
