AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for windshield obstructions and
3 wipers.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4524(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 4524. Windshield obstructions and wipers.

10 (d) Windshield wiper systems.--The windshield on every motor
11 vehicle other than a motorcycle or special mobile equipment
12 shall be equipped with a wiper system capable of cleaning rain,
13 snow or other moisture from the windshield, and so constructed
14 as to be controlled or operated by the driver of the vehicle. A
15 person shall not operate the windshield wiper system of a motor
16 vehicle without also turning on the headlights of the vehicle.
