                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 24, 1968 (P.L.237, No.111), entitled
     2     "An act specifically authorizing collective bargaining
     3     between policemen and firemen and their public employers;
     4     providing for arbitration in order to settle disputes, and
     5     requiring compliance with collective bargaining agreements
     6     and findings of arbitrators," prohibiting collective
     7     bargaining relating to the training and use of automated
     8     external defibrillators.

     9     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    10  hereby enacts as follows:
    11     Section 1.  The act of June 24, 1968 (P.L.237, No.111),
    12  referred to as the Policemen and Firemen Collective Bargaining
    13  Act, is amended by adding a section to read:
    14     Section 1.1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law to
    15  the contrary, the right to bargain collectively for the terms
    16  and conditions of employment under this act shall not include
    17  employers' decisions relating to the training and usage of
    18  automated external defibrillators or any other lifesaving
    19  devices by policemen or firemen in accordance with law.
    20     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
