| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, in executive officers, providing for |
3 | nominations. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Title 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
7 | Statutes is amended by adding a part to read: |

17 | § 1301. Definitions. |
18 | The following words and phrases when used in this chapter |

1 | shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the |
2 | context clearly indicates otherwise: |
3 | "Contract." A contract as defined under 65 Pa.C.S. § 1102 |
4 | (relating to definitions). |
5 | "Prohibited person." A person who meets any of the |
6 | following: |
7 | (1) Is a member of a different board or commission. |
8 | (2) Has a pecuniary interest in a contract granted or |
9 | approved by a board or commission. |
10 | § 1302. Prohibition. |
11 | Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Governor may |
12 | not nominate a prohibited person to a board or commission. |
13 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
