AN ACT
1 Providing for the purchase and operation of electronic screening
2 devices for the Capitol Building.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Metal detectors.
6 The Department of General Services shall, after consulting
7 with the Capitol Police, install electronic screening devices
8 capable of detecting metal, plastic and high-density materials
9 used in explosives and guns and, in addition, allow for the
10 installation of motion detectors and cameras at all public
11 entrances to the Capitol complex.
12 Section 2. Operation.
13 These detectors shall be operated by the Capitol Police.
14 Section 3. Effective date.
15 This act shall take effect immediately.
