AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Aging from the
2 Lottery Fund for PENNCARE for older Pennsylvanians.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $50,000,000 is hereby appropriated
6 from the Lottery Fund to the Department of Aging for the fiscal
7 year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005, for PENNCARE for older
8 Pennsylvanians for the purpose of developing, operating and
9 purchasing services for the aged and other adults, including,
10 but not limited to, model projects, community care services,
11 audits of area agencies on aging, protective services and
12 counseling services. No funds from this appropriation shall be
13 used for costs of administration by the Department of Aging.
14 This appropriation is in addition to any amount appropriated in
15 the General Appropriation Act of 2004-2005 for the same or
16 similar purpose.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
