AN ACT
1 Extending the deadline for filing for a permit for disposal of
2 municipal wastes.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Permit application filing deadlines.
6 Notwithstanding any other law or regulation to the contrary,
7 a county or municipality which as of April 9, 1990, has a permit
8 issued prior to April 9, 1988, for a currently existing
9 municipal waste landfill and by April 8, 1990, has an
10 administratively complete application covering the construction
11 of new facilities under review by the Department of
12 Environmental Resources, can accept municipal waste for disposal
13 in the existing landfill until the new site is permitted and
14 complete, or September 30, 1991, whichever occurs first. The new
15 site shall comply with 25 Pa. Code Chs. 271 (relating to
16 municipal water management - general provisions) and 273
17 (relating to municipal waste landfills).
18 Section 2. Effective date.
1 This act shall take effect immediately.
