Requires the governing board of school entities to hold a public hearing on acquiring an automatic external defibrillator (AED) for each school building within 90 days of the bill’s effective date and every five years thereafter. It also provides that a school entity that has acquired an AED for each school building is not required to hold a public hearing. It also requires a school entity established after the effective date of the bill to convene a public hearing within 90 days after the first day of class.
