AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 1300

Amend Bill, page 203, lines 23 through 25, by striking out
all of said lines and inserting
Section 27. Section 1795.1-E(b) of the act is amended by
adding a paragraph, subsection (c)(1) is amended by adding a
subparagraph and the section is amended by adding a subsection
to read:

inserting
Beginning on the date of the publication of the notice
under subsection (e), an
Amend Bill, page 204, by inserting between lines 17 and 18
(e) Notice.--Upon the amendment of the Pennsylvania Rules of
Civil Procedure pursuant to section 10 of Article V of the
Constitution of Pennsylvania, which limits the venue in which a
medical professional liability action may be brought against a
health care provider for a medical professional liability claim
to only a county in which the cause of action arose, notice
shall be transmitted to the Legislative Reference Bureau for
publication in the next available issue of the Pennsylvania
Bulletin.
