Amend Bill, page 5, line 24, by inserting after "EDUCATION,"
for Department of Environmental Protection,
Amend Bill, page 228, lines 7 and 8, by striking out all of
said lines and inserting
Section 1724-F.3. Department of Environmental Protection.
The following apply to appropriations to the Department of
Environmental Protection:
(1) From money appropriated for environmental program
management, no less than $537,000 shall be used to increase
staff and resources for the improvement of permit processing,
inspections and program oversight, including the
implementation of third-party reviews of the permitting
process.
(2) From money appropriated for environmental protection
operations, no less than $1,200,000 shall be used to increase
staff and resources for the improvement of permit processing,
inspections and program oversight, including the
implementation of third-party reviews of the permitting
process.
